Martin M. Temkin has been of counsel to Roberts, Carroll, Feldstein & Peirce since 1999. Prior to becoming of counsel to the firm, he was the principal of Temkin & Associates, Ltd., a firm that was engaged in corporate, real estate, business, estate planning and probate, banking and related matters, since 1956. Prior to that time, he had been an associate with a local law firm.

Mr. Temkin’s practice is of a general nature, primarily representing companies which include some of the largest companies in the area, and providing general legal services to a wide variety of individual clients. His real estate developer clients are among some of the largest in the area; his manufacturing and distribution clientele likewise represent a broad range of products and services. His estate planning and probate practice includes very substantial estates, as well as those of more moderate size.

During his many years of practice, Mr. Temkin has been a presiding officer and/or director of many non-profit organizations in the community, as well as serving in that capacity for some of his for-profit clientele. He currently acts as general counsel and advisor to a very large agency providing services to the elderly and continues to sit on the boards of many other agencies. Mr. Temkin chairs the Foundation for Home and Hospice Care of Rhode Island.

Mr. Temkin graduated from Brown University Law School in 1950 and received his law degree from Boston University in 1953.
