In so serving, he participates in establishing new ventures, acquisitions, sales and combinations with other companies, and also providing counsel on employee and various other operational matters. In his real estate practice he represents sizable developers in the purchase, sale and leasing of rental and condominium residential developments and commercial and industrial properties. His banking practice has included representation of virtually every Rhode Island financial institution and has included lending, restructuring, and products and services matters. His estate planning and probate practice have included planning and administering very sizable estates. He is a founding director and presently Chairman of the Board of The Key Program Incorporated, a large Massachusetts-based, non-profit organization employing about 500 persons which provides youth services for the most part by contracting with state agencies in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. He is presently serving as Chairman of The Miriam Hospital; he also serves as a board member of the Lifespan System (of which The Miriam Hospital is a member). He has recently served the Jewish Federation of Rhode Island, the central funding agency for the Rhode Island Jewish community, as its President and as Chairman of its Endowment Fund. He is a past President of Temple Emanu-El in Providence and of Camp Jori, a non-profit camp located in southern Rhode Island. He is also a member of the Providence College President's Council. Mr. Feldstein is a cum laude graduate of Providence College (1964) and received his LL.B. Degree from Boston College Law School (1967). He served as a law clerk to the Honorable Thomas H. Roberts, Chief Justice, Rhode Island Supreme Court, Legal Aide to Governor Frank Licht, and Counsel to the Rhode Island Board of Regents. He is also a member of the Rhode Island and American Bar Associations. |
