ROBERT P. LANDAU rlandau@rcfp.com 1.401.521.7000 x2318![]() ![]() Mr. Landau has represented numerous hospitals and physicians, nurses, dentists, social workers and other health care providers in both medical malpractice litigation and in administrative matters before the Board Of Medical Licensure and Discipline, the Board of Nursing and the Board of Social Work. He also has experience in transactional matters. Mr. Landau is a member of the Rhode Island Bar Association, where he has served on the District Court and Superior Court Bench/Bar Committees and the Massachusetts Bar Association and its Litigation Section. He is also a member of the American Bar Association and its Litigation Section, the American Trial Lawyers Association, the Rhode Island Trial Lawyers Association and the Defense Research Institute. Mr. Landau has been active in a wide variety of community volunteer activities since 1983. He has been the President of Temple Emanu-El since 2004 where he previously served as a Treasurer and Vice-President for nine years and has chaired several committees. He served as the President of the Bureau of Jewish Education of Rhode Island from 1997 to 2000 and also chaired numerous committees there. He is a Vice-President and serves on the Executive Committees of the Jewish Seniors Agency, Shalom Housing, Inc., an affordable housing facility in Warwick, and Tamarisk, Inc., an assisted living residence in Warwick. He previously served many years on the Board of Directors for the Alperin Schechter Day School and Jewish Federation of Rhode Island. He is the 1996 recipient of the Merrill L. Hassenfeld Leadership in Community Service Award. He has been active with the Duke University Alumni Admissions Advisory Committee since 1984. Mr. Landau received his Bachelor's Degree magna cum laude from Duke University in 1979 where he graduated with distinction and is a 1983 cum laude graduate of Boston University School of Law. |
